ARMING THE SYSTEM
*Verify that the green “ready” light is on and the word READY is displayed on the keypad.
*Press pound (#) and away (2).
*Verify the red “armed” light is on and the word ARMED is displayed on the keypad.
*The system is now armed. You have 60 seconds to leave the premise.
ARMING THE PERIMETER ONLY – “INSTANT MODE”
*Verify that the green “ready” light is on and the word READY is displayed on the keypad.
*Press pound (#) and instant (7).
*Verify the red “armed” light is on and the word ARMED is displayed on the keypad.
*This arms the perimeter of the system (usually windows and doors), but no interior protection (usually motion detectors).
*All entry/delay doors are set to instant alarm. Use this when all household members are in and nobody will be entering or exiting the home.
ARMING THE PERIMETER WITH ENTRY – “STAY MODE”
*Verify that the green “ready” light is on and the word READY is displayed on the keypad.
*Press pound (#) and stay (3).
*Verify the red “armed” light is on and the word ARMED is displayed on the keypad.
*This arms the perimeter of the system (usually windows and doors), but no interior protection (usually motion detectors).
*Your entry/delay door(s) will allow persons to enter the home and disarm the system via keypad.
DISARMING THE SYSTEM
*Upon entering thru the designated entry/exit doors, your keypad will beep to alert you to turn off the alarm.
*The amount of time you have to disarm the system will be explained to you by your technician (usually 30 seconds).
*Enter your 4 digit code and off (1).
*You may turn off the alarm at any time while in “Stay” or “Instant” mode.
CLEARING THE SYSTEM
*Any time the alarm has been tripped, you must clear the system before rearming.
*Enter your 4 digit code and off (1).
*You may have to do this twice.
*The alarm is ready to arm when the green “ready” light is on and the word READY is displayed on the keypad.
IF THE SYSTEM WILL NOT ARM
*If the green “ready” light is not on and the words NOT READY are displayed, the alarm cannot be set.
*This is usually due to an “open zone.”
TROUBLESHOOTING:
*When arming the system, make sure no one is in a room with a motion detector.
*Press ready (*).
*Any “faulty” or “open” zones are displayed.
*Refer to your zone list. Usually this is a window or door not secured properly.
*Once all the zones are secured, the green “ready” light will turn on and the word READY will be displayed.
TO BYPASS A ZONE
*Use to bypass a faulty zone or not arm a zone on purpose.
*Refer to your zone list to find the two digit code for the zone. Eg: 03 or 12
*Enter your 4 digit code and press bypass (6) and immediately enter the zone or zones you want to bypass.
*If Bypassing more than one zone, enter them all at once Eg: 03 04 07
*In a few seconds the word BYPASS should appear on the keypad to confirm the zone bypass.
*You may now arm the alarm as usual.
*After the alarm is disarmed, the bypass will turn off and it must be reactivated again if desired.
